In the Tengger Desert of Gansu Province, during the construction of a megawatt photovoltaic power station, the construction team successfully completed the pile foundation construction in the granite stratum with a hardness of 8 levels by using the screw drilling pile driving technology. This technology uses a graded variable speed drilling system. In the first stage, it penetrates the loose sand on the surface at low speed, and then switches to high torque mode to conquer the rock layer. The single pile implantation time is reduced from 2 hours in traditional methods to 18 minutes.
The geological engineer of the project revealed that the temperature difference between day and night in desert areas exceeds 40 ℃, and traditional concrete pouring methods are prone to cracking of pile foundations due to thermal expansion and contraction. The new spiral pile is made of high-strength alloy steel material, and is equipped with an intelligent monitoring system to adjust drilling parameters in real time, ensuring that the verticality error of the pile body is less than 0.5 degrees. At present, the project has completed the construction of 120000 pile foundations, which is 45 days ahead of the original plan and has bought valuable time for the installation of subsequent components.
