During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the construction machinery industry maintained stable development, with significant growth in foreign trade exports. Its business operations covered over 170 countries and regions, and its products were exported to more than 210 countries and regions. China's international market share in construction machinery rapidly increased, and its globalized layout advanced further. The annual export value of China's construction machinery rose from $20.9 billion in 2020 to nearly $52.9 billion in 2024, and is projected to reach or exceed $59 billion in 2025, consecutively surpassing the thresholds of $30 billion, $40 billion, and $50 billion, demonstrating a strong upward trend overall.

Rising to new heights, high-end equipment continues to meet construction demands. Breakthroughs have been achieved in a range of intelligent and high-end major technical equipment, including 4,000-ton cranes, ultra-large hydraulic excavators, 10,000-ton-meter tower cranes, extra-large shield machines, high-horsepower bulldozers, large all-electric mining dump trucks, and large aerial work vehicles. These innovations have played an irreplaceable role in major domestic and international engineering projects.
Riding the wave of digitalization, breakthroughs have been achieved in digital and intelligent development. Leveraging the deepened applications of 5G, big data, and artificial intelligence, the digital and intelligent upgrading of industries is evolving toward systemic intelligent solutions such as machine cluster collaborative operations. This advancement is characterized by active technological innovation, diverse application scenarios, a well-developed industrial ecosystem, and significantly improved construction efficiency.
A relevant official from the China Machinery Industry Federation stated that for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China's construction machinery industry is expected to maintain both quantitative and qualitative growth.
